Self-Proclaimed Entertainment was created to develop and produce compelling documentaries and unscripted television with a cinematic flair. Combining decades of experience in traditional journalism with a history in high-end commercial production, SPE has set out to redefine “reality” into something that aspires to a higher standard – both in terms of social responsibility and production value.

SPE’s series will seek to entertain, edify and inspire.  With series varying from an investigative series exploring deadly government secrets, to a tongue-in-cheek look at race relations in America, to celebrations of small-town America, SPE’s will endeavor to reach audiences with smart, stylish programs that offer a redemptive view of life. In addition to their own productions, SPE will also engage in co-productions with a network of partners who are well established in the unscripted TV industry.

Additionally, SPE will offer packaged production services for aspiring unscripted TV talent and producers.  By utilizing their growing network of contacts in the industry, their keen eye for talent, their proven track record in concept development and their unwavering quest for production excellence, SPE will transform prospective partners’  ideas into pitch-worthy sizzle reels that will find their ways into the programming offices of major cable networks.

Beyond television, Self-Proclaimed is also developing feature documentaries, concert films, docu-style commercial productions and narrative feature films based on its documentary properties.
